Coordinator Cooperation Dutch Caribbean for Sustainable Growth of Dutch Enterprise Agency (RVO)
Ronald Vermeeren is working as a coordinator for the Dutch Caribbean at the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO.nl) to serve entrepreneurs, local governments and business support organizations in the Dutch Caribbean.
RVO.nl is a government agency supporting entrepreneurs in international, sustainable and innovative entrepreneurship. The dedicated Caribbean team within RVO is working on a wide variety of subjects all serving to contribute to a sustainable (economic, ecologic as well as social) development of the Dutch Caribbean. Under the assignment of several Dutch ministries this support can be accomplished. This has resulted in making available all export support instruments for entrepreneurs in the Dutch Caribbean that want to make the step abroad.
Dedicated for Sint Maarten a business to business matchmaking is being developed and piloted in order to build connections and synergies between Sint Maarten companies and companies from the other parts of the kingdom with the goal to stimulate economic activity on Sint Maarten.
In his lecture Ronald is giving you an insight in the services RVO.nl can offer to entrepreneurs on Sint Maarten (and in the entire Kingdom) and might be able to offer in the near future. As an inspiration he will also address some projects and initiatives that are being initiated, developed and executed in the Dutch Caribbean. Some examples are the development of a dedicated program for starting entrepreneurs, a feasibility study towards a (regional) development bank, sustainable and community based tourism and development of agriculture.
