Bernise Stoffer
Projectmanager Business Match Making at The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO)
Bernise Stoffer is the project manager of Business Match Making Sint Maarten, and advisor SDG7 in developing countries. With her accountancy and business process management background, she has extensive experience in auditing international grant programs, streamlining of business processes and assessing business cases.
For the reconstruction of Sint Maarten, the RVO Caribbean team has been asked by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, to conduct research to identify the opportunities for business match making and to get more understanding of the needs, for a successful systematic business match making program, between local Sint Maarten and Dutch entrepreneurs.
Bernise Stoffer has been working the past 1,5 year in close collaboration with TEATT, COCI, KGMSXM, BAPS, CCCE and SMILE to set up a systematic business match making program.
Furthermore, she and the intern candidate Norma-jean Ilario has interviewed several entrepreneurs. They have reported their findings and recommendations to TEATT, COCI, KGMSXM and the ministry of Internal affairs.
Dedicated for Sint Maarten a business to business matchmaking is being developed and piloted in order to build connections and synergies between Sint Maarten companies and companies from other parts of the kingdom, with the goal to stimulate economic activity in Sint Maarten.
In her lecture Bernise will be giving you an insight into the services RVO.nl can offer Sint Maarten entrepreneurs (and the entire Kingdom) and also what will possibly be offered in the near future.
Additionally, she will also address some projects and initiatives in the starting blocks, being developed and executed in the Dutch Caribbean. Some examples are the development of a dedicated program for new entrepreneurs, a feasibility study towards a (regional) development bank, sustainable and community based tourism and development of agriculture.
